Golden Hour Acupuncture | Chicago
Welcome, New Patients!
What to Expect
-
Although not required, you are welcome to schedule a free 15-min phone consultation before scheduling an initial appointment. We can discuss any questions you have about acupuncture, your health concerns and / or our clinic. There are many acupuncture practices to choose from and we want you to be certain that Golden Hour is a good fit!
-
If you’re new to our clinic, or have not been in for over one year, please schedule an Initial Appointment. You can do this online or let us help you by texting, calling or emailing us.
During your Initial Visit, we’ll talk more thoroughly about your particular issue(s), your health goals, medical history, and other factors in order to develop an individualized treatment plan.
This appointment includes an acupuncture treatment.
You’ll leave with a treatment plan that outlines when and how often you should return as well as relevant dietary and lifestyle adjustments for you individually.
-
You’ll return for weekly acupuncture sessions to ensure close support as you begin to feel your body establishing a new pattern.
-
Once we see improvements that are maintaining over time, we will start spacing visits further apart. This usually occurs after 6 to 8 visits, with some individual variability. We will go from weekly visits to visits every 10 to 14 days, then once a month, then on an as-needed basis for “tuneups.”
We are here for you, in case you have other healthcare issues you want to address. Of course, many of our patients wish to continue with regular maintenance or self-care, and we are always happy to work with you on that level, if that is your wish.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Dynamic balance: Chinese medicine creates balance on the inside of your body, which in turn radiates outward into your life.
Many patients experience a sense of deep relaxation, immediate pain relief, and a quality of centered well-being immediately after a treatment. In the following days, the body continues to heal. You may notice increased energy, better digestion, improved mood, mental clarity and more range of motion. When a condition is chronic, it takes the body longer to come back into balance, but over time, it does indeed find its way back to health.
