Golden Hour Acupuncture | Chicago
Welcome, New Patients!
Your initial consultation is free.
Come meet us in person to learn more!
-
At your free initial 15-min phone consultation, you’ll meet with your practitioner to discuss your medical history, medications you are currently taking, and most importantly, your goals. We want to be certain that Golden Hour’s program is a good fit for your needs and that there is a high probability of success for you before we move forward to the next step.
-
After your free consultation with your practitioner, and we agree that this program is a good fit for you, the next step forward is the Intake Appointment. At this visit, your practitioner will perform a thorough assessment of your particular issue, medical history, and other factors to identify the root cause of your problem to devise the right treatment approach for you, based upon the goals you have discussed.
After this assessment, you will receive your first acupuncture treatment, and you will be given a treatment plan with simple, easy-to-follow instructions. Your treatment plan includes dietary and lifestyle adjustments as well as herbal supplements to address the root of your issue.
-
You’ll return for weekly visits to ensure close support as you begin to feel your body establishing a new pattern. We want to make sure your treatment plan is providing you with:
Balanced hormones
Improved digestion
Decreased inflammation
More “good days” — energy, mood, stamina
You’ll also receive acupuncture at each visit to ensure that your nervous system is rebalancing to return to its original pattern of health.
-
Once we see improvements that are maintaining over time, we will start spacing visits out further apart. This usually occurs after 8 to 12 visits, with some individual variability. We will go from weekly visits to visits every 10 to 14 days, then once a month, then on an as-needed basis for “tuneups.” We are here for you, in case you have other healthcare issues you want to address. Of course, many of our patients wish to continue with regular maintenance, and we are always happy to work with you on that level, if that is your wish.

Dynamic balance: Chinese medicine creates balance on the inside of your body, which in turn radiates outward into your life.
Many patients experience a sense of deep relaxation, immediate pain relief, and a quality of centered well-being immediately after a treatment. In the following days, the body continues to heal. You may notice increased energy, better digestion, improved mood, mental clarity and more range of motion. When a condition is chronic, it takes the body longer to come back into balance, but over time, it does indeed find its way back to health.

Make sure and eat something beforehand. It’s best not to receive acupuncture on a totally empty stomach. Wear comfortable clothes. Come as you are. You are an amazing person. You’ve made a choice to invest in your health. That is something to be proud of!
